Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Luhkee BV ("we", "us", "[ luhk-ee ]"), registered at Dichtersstraat 49, 2610 Wilrijk, Belgium, VAT BE0774757311, collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit www.luhkee.be or use the [ luhk-ee ] configurator at configurator.luhkee.be. Using the [ luhk-ee ] configurator
When you use the configurator to design a faceplate and request your configuration sheet, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, country or region, and the product configuration you've built (finish, layout, engraving and insert choices).
Why we collect it and what happens to it: we generate a PDF configuration sheet and email it to you, so you can share it with your installer or keep it for your records. We email your configuration and contact details to the [ luhk-ee ] dealer or distributor responsible for your region, so they can follow up and start your order - this is the core purpose of the tool. We copy request@luhkee.be on every submission and store it in our internal customer list (hosted on Wix), which we review internally, including in a weekly summary of new requests. If you separately opt in to our newsletter, we use your email to send product updates; this is a distinct, optional consent from the configuration request, confirmed via a separate confirmation email before you're subscribed.
Legal basis: your consent, given via the checkbox on the request form, and, for the core act of connecting you with a dealer, the steps necessary to provide the service you've asked for.
How long we keep it: we retain configuration requests for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted, unless you've become a customer through a dealer, in which case the dealer's own records apply. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time - see "Your rights" below.
Who we share it with: the [ luhk-ee ] dealer or distributor for your region; our email delivery provider, Resend, which sends emails on our behalf; Wix, which hosts our website, the customer list your request is stored in, and, if you opt in, our newsletter tool; and SiteGround, which hosts the configurator application itself.
Some [ luhk-ee ] dealers and distributors are located outside the European Economic Area. Where we share your data with a dealer outside the EEA, or where a service provider processes data outside the EEA, we put appropriate safeguards in place, in particular the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, so your data continues to be protected to EU standards wherever it is handled.
Cookies and local storage
The [ luhk-ee ] configurator does not use cookies or analytics trackers. It may temporarily store your in-progress design in your browser so a page refresh doesn't lose your work. This is strictly functional, is never sent anywhere, and is cleared when you close the tool.
Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting providers automatically log basic technical information for every visit, such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps. This is standard server administration data used only to keep the site secure and running, and is not linked to your identity for any other purpose.
Where you're located
Luhkee BV is established in Belgium, so we apply the EU's GDPR standard, one of the strictest and most protective in the world, to everyone who uses our website or configurator, wherever you're located. If you're contacting us from outside the EU, the additional privacy laws of your own country may also apply to you and, where relevant, to us. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under those laws.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at connect@luhkee.be.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, or to restrict or object to how we use it. To do so, or to withdraw consent (including unsubscribing from the newsletter, which you can also do via the link in any newsletter email), contact connect@luhkee.be. We'll respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / APD), autoriteprotectiondonnees.be.
Children's information
The [ luhk-ee ] configurator and website are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at connect@luhkee.be and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example as our services change or to reflect legal requirements. We'll post any changes on this page, and where they are significant, we'll make that clear at the top of the page.
